About

 

Harrison Mendel is a Canadian cinematographer currently based in Los Angeles. After spending multiple summers in a row on crutches, he put down the mountain bike and picked up a camera. Shortly after, he finished high school online to pursue an career in film.

Since then, his work has transitioned beyond sport into the commercial and narrative space, taking him to 17 countries across the globe. His portfolio includes work for Nike, Volvo, Gap, Redbull and Specialized.

Harrison has been awarded 16 Vimeo Staff Picks, a Bronze Clio and his worked has been recognized at the 1.4 Awards, Berlin Commercial, Webby Awards, and Vimeo Best of the Year.

In his spare time, Harrison enjoys architecture, cooking and still the occasional mountain bike ride.
